Star - Michael Dwain Horton, 52, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating. He was born in Wake County to Michael Lee Horton and Marilyn Morris Davis. He was an electrician. He is survived by his son, Zachary Horton, of Rockwell; daughter, Ashley Leigh-Ann Horton, of Midland; brother, Marcus Horton, of Mt. Pleasant; 4 grandsons; 1 granddaughter.
