Morgan Wayne Williamson

Morgan Wayne "Windy" Williamson,  of Foxfire, passed away on June 9, 2023, at FirstHealth Hospice House at the age of 85.

Mr. Williamson was born on July 1, 1937, in Alamance County to Jesse and Mary Morgan Williamson Sr. He graduated from NC State University in 1968 and later served in the US Air Force before joining the Department of Defense from where he retired. Outside of work, he enjoyed playing golf and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Williamson Jr.

He is survived by his life partner, Bette Rose of the home; sisters Glenda Bertolini of Poolesville, MD and Susan Horton (David) of Bamberg, SC; and brother Bobby Williamson (Susan) of Supply, NC.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jimmy Shirlen officiating.
