Star - Nancy Davis Greene, 74, of 737 Dover Road, died Monday, November 11, 2013, at Randolph Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 14, 2013, at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member, with the Rev. Patrick Robertson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Greene was born in Montgomery County to Claude R. and Nonnie Spivey Davis. She was retired from Acme-McCrary of Asheboro with 45 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Harold "Jim" Greene; sister, Martha Davis Nooe; brothers, Lenny M. Davis, James Lewis "Jimmy" Davis. She is survived by her sisters, Janie Davis Welch of Robbins, Betty Davis Lucas of Seagrove, Claudine Davis Greene of Star, Annie Mae Davis Batten of Star; brothers, Claude Davis, Jr. of Asheboro, Bobby Ray Davis of Star; and many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Wednesday, November 13, 2013, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
