Orlindo Ward

Lindo Ward Star - Orlindo "Lindo" Ward, 97, of 210 Leach Street, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Guiding Light Baptist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Burial will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery in Seagrove. He was a native of Montgomery County, a retired saw mill worker, and was a World War II US Army veteran. Surviving are daughter, Peggy W. Loflin, of Star, sons, Wiley Ward, James Marshall Ward, both of the home; four grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star and other times at the home. The family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
