Paul James Stewart

Paul James Stewart, age 88, of Biscoe, passed away on December 9, 2023, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

Paul was born in Montgomery County on December 25, 1934, to Jamie and Pearl Martin Stewart. He served honorably in the US Army and dedicated many years of his life working at Stewarts Garage. Later on, he transitioned to the Town of Star, where he faithfully served until his retirement. Paul was also a respected member of the Masonic fraternity.

Paul is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margie Williamson Stewart.

He is survived by his two sons, John Paul Stewart (Lisa) of Biscoe and Sam Stewart of Biscoe, and his brother David Stewart (Edna) of Biscoe. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Jessica Hurley (Taylor), Samantha Stewart, Jason Stewart, and Cameron Stewart, as well as his great-grandchild Reagan Latham.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Biscoe Cemetery at 4:00 pm with Reverend Bruce Lax officiating.
