Rachel Hare Hussey

Rachel Hare Hussey, 88, of 1653 Howard Mill Road, Robbins, died Sunday, January 1, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 4, at Smyrna United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tal Madison officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Hussey was a native of Moore County born to Numa and Nancy Davis Hare. She was a poultry grower and homemaker. Mrs. Hussey was a member of Smyrna United Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies' Sunday School Class #10, and a member of the United Methodist Women. Surviving are One son: Roger Hussey, Robbins, NC Two Daughters: Nancy Walker, Franklinville, NC Frances Cagle, Robbins, NC One Brother: Cloves Hare, Asheboro, NC Two Sisters: Grace Yow, Sophia, NC Otta Hussey, Seagrove, NC Grandchildren: Robin Garner and husband, Keith; Kim Morris and husband, Jim; Wendy Chriscoe; Travis Chriscoe and wife, Suzanna; Jennifer Caviness and husband, Adam; Justin Cagle; Matt Garner and wife, Jessica; Josh Garner. Great-Grandchildren: Levi and Mason Morris; Janna, Elisha, and Clair Caviness. Mrs. Hussey was preceeded in death by her sons, William K Hussey and Frank S. Hussey; and, by her husband, William Curtis Hussey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 3, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
