Rachel Maness McCaskill

Rachel Maness McCaskill, 89, of Biscoe died Saturday August 27, 2016 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Mrs. McCaskill was born October 16, 1926 in Montgomery County to the late Henry and Mildred McCaskill Maness. In addition to her parents, Rachel was predeceased by her husband Claude A. “Bill” McCaskill and her grandson, David McCaskill. She worked at Jeanette Maternity and enjoyed sewing and flowers.

A member of First Baptist Church of Biscoe, Rachel sang in the choir and enjoyed visiting. She was a woman of faith and took her children to church.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, August 30, at Flint Hill Christian Church with Rev. Don McCaskill and Rev. Josh Powers officiating. Burial will be in Biscoe Cemetery.

She is survived by daughter Kay Rush (Larry) of Greensboro; three sons, Alex McCaskill (Janie) of Troy, Don McCaskill (Angie) of Biscoe, Gary McCaskill of Biscoe; one brother, Jim Maness (Marian) of Ramseur; five grandchildren, Melissa Tolar, Larry Wayne Rush, Marsha Norris, Mark and Andrew McCaskill. Other survivors include seventeen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, ten step grandchildren, and one step great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 S. Main Street, Star, NC.
