Richard Earl Hancock, age 68, of Robbins passed away on January 25, 2026, at his home.

Mr. Hancock was born on May 25, 1957, in Moore County to Hurley Junior and Olla Faye Sheffield Hancock. Richard enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and working in his vegetable garden.


He is survived by his wife Betty Strider Hancock of the home; sons Keith Hancock and Dillon Hancock both of Robbins; brothers Bill Sheffield (Paula) of Troy; Garland Hancock of Robbins; Glen Hancock of Robbins and Roger Hancock of Seagrove. Grandchildren Hurley, Noah, Zoey and Cooper.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Crossroads Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Colton Moore officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
