Mr. Cresson was born in Kannapolis to Robert William Cresson III and Mildred Keever Cresson. He graduated from Kannapolis High School in 1961 and attended Calvary Temple in Biscoe.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve Sladek Cresson, of Biscoe; one son, Eric Davidson of Atlanta, Georgia.
