Roberta Smith Ritter

Candor - Roberta Smith Ritter, 48, of 311 Leach Road, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011, at Candor Cemetery with the Rev. Dena White officiating. She was born in Montgomery County and was a former hosiery mill employee. Surviving are her daughters, Rachel L. Ritter, Melissa L. Campbell, both of the home; mother, Mozelle McDuffie Smith, of the home; sisters, Louise Goodwin of Candor, Betty C. Mauldin of Troy; brother, Donald P. Smith, Sr., of Candor; four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 26, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home.
