Ruby Sheffield Davis, 79, of 2187 Browns Mill Road, Robbins, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, October 17, at Guiding Light Baptist Church with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Davis was a native of Moore County born to Elijah Fulton and Glennie Britt Sheffield. She was a retired hosiery mill worker. Surviving are Four Sons: Roger Lee Davis, Robbins, NC Leonard Fulton Davis, Robbins, NC Larry Eugene Davis and wife, Annette, Seagrove, NC Bobby R. Davis and wife, Sandra, Robbins, NC Four Daughters: Linda Allen and husband, Brent, Robbins, NC Ruby Jean English, Robbins, NC Donna Brown and husband, Johnny, Robbins, NC Cathy Brewer and husband, Darrell, Robbins, NC 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Sunday, October 16, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
