Ruth B. Freeman Greensboro - Ruth Helen Burkhart Freeman, 81, of 1131 North Church Street, formerly of Eagle Springs, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at Heartland Living and Rehab Moses H. Cone Nursing Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 31, 2012, at Big Oak Christian Church with the Pastor Buddy Smith and Pastor Jason Frank officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Freeman was born in Randolph County to Ottis Glenn and Grace Quick Burkhart. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Elias Robert Freeman. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Baird of Siler City, Susan Berry of Staley, Virginia Isenhour of Climax; sons, Dexter Freeman of Asheboro, Mike Freeman of Apex; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
