Ruth Smith Hurley

Ruth Smith Hurley, 77, of Asheboro, passed away on November 8, 2023, at Randolph Hospice House.

Ruth was born in Chatham County on October 22, 1946, to Hoyt and Mary Alice Beck Smith. She was a devoted member of Christian Fellowship Church and dedicated 43 years of her life to her employment with Lowe's Food. Ruth had a love for reading, flowers, and canning.

She is survived by her husband Grady T. Hurley of the home; her daughter Chandra Phillips of Sanford; and her grandchildren Bryant Hurley (Mika) of Asheboro; Kendra Hurley of Richmond, VA; and Victoria Hurley of Ramseur.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Biscoe Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jimmy Shirlen and Rev. David Hunt officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Ruth's honor to Hospice of Randolph at 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
