Ruth Whitley Lyerly

Ruth W. Lyerly Biscoe - Ruth Whitley Lyerly, age 91, of 520 E. Main Street, died Saturday, December 27, 2008, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at Biscoe Cemetery with the Rev. Pam Watkins officiating. Mrs. Lyerly was born in Rowan County to the late Eugene and Pearl Earhardt Whitley. She was a member of Page Memorial UMC and the Girls Fellowship Club. Surviving are her husband, Norman "Bub" Winecoff Lyerly, of the home; daughter, Jean L. Jackson of Tampa, Florida; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Page Memorial UMC, 203 Church Street, Biscoe, NC 27209. The family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
