Thelma M. Mabe Seagrove - Thelma Davis Miller Mabe, age 89, of 741 Hogan Farm Road, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Baaseiah Rest Home in Candor. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 11, 2009, at Dover Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Dr. Don Davis officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Mabe was born in Moore County to the late Neil Webster and Elma Hancock Davis. She was retired from the Finishing Department at BB Walkers. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hubert Miller, Vernon Mabe; daughter, Mildred Faye Bruce; son, Jerry Don Miller; step-son, Kenneth Don Mabe; brothers, Howard, Clarence, Charlie, and Tallie. Surviving are step-sons, Gary Mabe and wife, Frances, of Seagrove, Steve Mabe, and wife, Beverly, of Raleigh; daughters-in-law, Brenda Miller Maness of Seagrove, Judith Mabe of Seagrove; brothers, Lealon Davis and wife, Wilma, of Seagrove, Ray Davis and wife, Jenny, of Nitro, West Virginia; grandchildren, Sherry and Edward Coggins, Mike Mabe, Randy Miller, Danny and Karen Bruce, Kevin and Tisha Miller, Greg and Chrystal Mabe, Tim Mabe, Christie and David McRae, Andrew and Jamie Mabe, Jenny and Matt Brown; great and great-great grandchildren, Erica Bruce and Erica, Drew Russell, Chris Bruce, Ken Sexton, Nicholas Mabe, Matthew Mabe, Macie McRae, Logan McRae, Ashley Miller, Alexis Miller, Reagan McRae, Aiden Mabe; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star and other times at the home of Gary and Frances Mabe, 965 Hogan Farm Road, Seagrove, NC.
