Theodore Martin Rush

Theodore "Ted" Martin Rush, 81, of Eagle Springs, previously of Norman, died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 15, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Reynolds and Rev. Donnie Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Norman Cemetery. Mr. Rush was a native of Moore County, a US Army veteran, retired from NC Department of Transportation, a member and deacon of Pine Grove Baptist Church, a member of Ellerbe Lions Club, and a member of the Biscoe Chapter of VFW Post 9881. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Agnes Rush, and wife of 48 years, Margaret Byrd Rush. He is survived by his Wife: Frances Nall Brewer Rush, of the home Brother: Sherrill Rush and wife, Betty, of Southern Pines Sister: Elizabeth Rush Freeman and husband, Pat, of Biscoe Step-children: Wanda Britt and husband, Parker, of Star; Craig Brewer and wife, Loretta, of Eagle Springs; Sherry Lovell and husband, David, of Eagle Springs; Janet Smith and husband, Wesley, of Robbins. Six step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild; and many beloved nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 6 - 8:00 pm, Monday, March 14, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star, and other times at the home.
