Thomas Lester Maness Jr.

Thomas Lester Maness Jr., age 95, of Star, passed away on May 29, 2026, at his home.

Born on July 25, 1930, in Montgomery County to Thomas Lester and Elizabeth McInnis Maness Sr., Tom was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Following his service, he dedicated many years to working in the Shipping Department at Pine Hosiery Mill until his retirement. Tom enjoyed spending time gardening and playing golf.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou Clark, brother Donald Maness and stepson Earl Winborn Thompson III.

He is survived by his wife Diane Stout Maness of the home and son Dana Maness of Troy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Star Presbyterian Church Cemetery at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends following the service.
