Thomas Cole Shoe

Star - Thomas "Tom" Cole Shoe, 92, died Saturday, January 7, 2017, at FirstHealth Moore Regional in Pinehurst.

No funeral services will be held at this time.

Tom was born in Montgomery County to James C. and Thelma Cole Shoe. He was the owner/operator of Tom's Grocery. He was an avid bass fisherman for years and participated in many tournaments. He was a ham radio buff and enjoyed gardening. He will be remembered for the care and friendship that he extended to his customers and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Maynard Shoe, of the home; daughter, Nancy Hucks-Folliss, of Pinehurst; grandsons, Thomas A. Fry of Los Angeles, California, Andrew Christopher Hucks-Folliss, Caitlin Hentschel of New York; and friend, Derek KoKinda of Los Angeles, California.
