Tommy "Tom" Wayne Crowder, age 79, of Star, passed away on September 18, 2025, at his home.

Born on February 22, 1946, in Cabarrus County to Hillard and Lavonia Crowder, Tom dedicated many years to caring for others as the owner/operator of an Assisted Living Facility.

He is survived by his son Mark Crowder of Oriental, NC and grandson Wilson Crowder.

No services are planned at this time.

The Crowder family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
