Treva Allen Freeman

Star - Treva Allen Freeman, 89, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 6, 2017, at Shady Grove Christian Church, with the Rev. Jerry Freeman and Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Freeman was born in Montgomery County to Chesley and Ethel Deaton Allen. She was retired from Clayson Knitting Co. Inc. and was a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Sherman Freeman, Jr., daughter, Shirley Jean Whitaker; and sister, Doris Floyd.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Council (Jimmy) of Southern Pines; son, Rev. Jerry Freeman (Linda) of Marshall, sister, Melba F. Blue, of Troy; brothers, Von Allen (Savannah) of Star, June Allen of Mt. Gilead; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service at Shady Grove Christian Church from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
