Starts at 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Vester Lee Hall, 77, of Biscoe, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family.
He was a devoted husband to Sarah Elizabeth “Beth” McLeod Hall for 46 years, loving father to Ashley Lynthacum (Kenneth) of Biscoe, and Amanda Blake (Adam) of Star, and a very proud papa of six. He cherished all of his grandchildren; Jake, Caleb, Sarah and Sam Lynthacum, and Amelia and Abbott Blake, most of all.
Vester is also survived by his sister, Treva Allred of Robbins; brothers Jack Hall and Richard Hall (Becky) both of Biscoe.
Mr. Hall was born on September 27, 1948, in Randolph County to Coy and Jenney Brady Hall. He worked as a Hosiery Mill Worker, and Quality Control Manager at Russell Hosiery and Fruit of The Loom for many years. His career in hosiery began in Star, NC and led his family to Kentucky, where they spent 10 years. Vester sustained a back injury that resulted in multiple unsuccessful back surgeries. He was unable to work but continued to provide for his family through his gifts in gardening, cooking, providing humor, teaching God’s word, serving others, and most recently raising chickens and turkeys.
Vester has served in numerous church roles such as Deacon, Board Member, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and Program Director. Most recently, he was an active member at Mt Zion Wesleyan Church in Seagrove. Through all the seasons of life, his faith was steady as he clung to God’s promises and proclaimed his faith. His cancer battle was long, and his fight was brave and strong. Ultimately, he received his crown and is now rejoicing in Glory!
There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, November 26th at the Biscoe Cemetery at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Derrick Britt and Reverend David Beck officiating. The family will receive friends and guests at the kitchen following the graveside service.
The Hall Family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home in Star.
