Walter Wade Boggs

Walter Wade Boggs, 61, of Star, died Sunday, July 17, 2016 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Big Oak Church of God with the Rev. Billy Ray Chriscoe officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Boggs was born in Wilkes County to Claude and Florence Dillard Boggs. He was retired from B & H Panel after thirty-five years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boggs was predeceased by his wife, Peggy P. Boggs, his brother, William Boggs, and his nephew, Kelly Boggs.

Surviving are two sons, Walter Ray Boggs (Danielle) of Star, Benjamin Wade Boggs (Dana) of Star; two brothers, Warren Boggs (Wilma) of Star, Winfred Boggs (Kathy) of Star; one sister, Wilma L. Beane (Hobert) of Star; three grandchildren, Jayden, Amber, and Rebecca Boggs; five nieces; and, five nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 19, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
