Wanda Lee Hess

Charlotte - Wanda Lee Hess, age 76, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at University Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte.

A graveside service will be held at Ether United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Kay Boone officiating on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 2:00 PM.

Wanda was born in Ether, NC on May 19, 1942 to Charles and Hazel Needham Hess. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. She loved pets and children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lester Hess, of El Paso, Texas.

She is survived by one son, John McBride, of Matthews and one sister, Hazel Smithey, of Kernersville.

Memorial donations may be made to the building fund at Ether United Methodist Church, PO Box 156, Ether, NC 27247.
