William "Gene" Honeycutt Sr.

William Eugene "Gene" Honeycutt Sr., age 84, of Biscoe, passed away on May 12, 2025, at Randolph Hospice House.

Gene was born on January 3, 1941, in Anson County to Howard and Eula Stephens Honeycutt.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alma Kelly Honeycutt, sister Julia Adams, Wilma Howell, Eula Dew, and brother Reggie Honeycutt, brothers-in-law Sim Kelly, Leak Kelly, and sister-in-law Judy Hildreth.

He is survived by his daughter Teresa Lynn Honeycutt of the home; son Gene Honeycutt Jr. (Sharon) of Asheboro and grandson Nicholas Reid; sisters Thelma Parrotto of Claudville, VA; Mary Corcoran (Frank) of Marysville, WA. As well as brothers-in-law Warren Kelly (Terri); John Kelly (Teah), Ed Kelly, William Lee, sisters-in-law Denise Shepard (Steven), Margaret Ponds (Stanley) and Lou Simpson (Junior).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Phillips Funeral Home from 2:00-2:45 pm. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Terry Craig and Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Biscoe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gene's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
