William McKinley Puckett

William McKinley "Ken" Puckett, 83, of Troy, NC died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at FirstHealth Moore Regional . A graveside service with military rites will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, at West End Cemetery with the Rev. James Quesinbury officiating. Mr. Puckett was a native of Virginia born to Everette Garfield and Cora Bowman Puckett. He was a US Navy veteran, a retired barber, and produce salesman. In addition to his parents, Mr. Puckett was predeceased by his brothers, Charlie Monroe Puckett, Winfred Puckett, Henry Puckett; sisters, Nellie Easter, Allie Smith, Valerie Griffin, and Mabel Gibson. Surviving are two brothers, Oliver Puckett of Hamlet and Sammy Puckett of Biscoe; four sisters, Eunice Puckett of West End, Inez Hall of Biscoe, Lucille Britt of Star, and Louisa Freeman of Eagle Springs; and foster brother, Rev. James Quesinbury of Mt. Airy. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star.
