Troy - Mr. William Ernest Warner, Jr., 70, of Troy, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at his residence.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 13, at Southside Cemetery in Troy with Chaplain Tom Barton officiating.
Mr. Warner was born in Montgomery County to William Ernest and Catherine Elmina Smith Warner. He was a graduate of West Montgomery High School, a veteran of the Vietnam War, and formerly served as police chief for the Town of Troy and deputy for Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.
He is survived by his sister, Marie Warner, of Star; several nieces and nephews; and also by his beloved companion, Belle.
