Woodrow C. Burr Eagle Springs - Woodrow Calvin Burr, 61, of 139 Chappell Road, died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at his son's home in Nags Head. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at Eagle Springs UMC with the Rev. Kenneth McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. Mr. Burr was born in Anson County to the late Henry and Elizabeth Maree Burr. He was a former employee of Russ Knits Inc. in Candor and was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam Era. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Latham Burr, of Biscoe; sons and wives, Jason C. and Stephanie Burr of Randleman, Terry Lee and Crystal Burr of Star, Gary Lee and Dusti Burr of Nags Head; brother, Benny Burr, of Love Valley; sisters, Brenda Minor of Reidsville, Norma Jean Burr and Frances Burr, both of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Johnathon Andrew Brock-Burr, Jackson Aaron Brock-Burr, Jacob Alexander Brock-Burr, all of Nags Head, Allison Nicole Burr, Kaitlynn Michelle Burr, both of Star, Breanna Renee Burr, Brooke Emily Burr, both of Randleman. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2009, at Phillips Funeral Home in Star. The family is being served by Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star, NC 27356.
